I've read through the 15 page explanation and I like the one site super 64/sweet-16 format. The one element that seemed questionable was the automatic berth to the super 64 for any conference champion. We all know that some conferences are tough and some are weak. At the same time, it still leaves, at minimum, 34 to 36 spots to qualify from the descending order list. In reality, a good number of the conference champions will already have top times, so it will probably be that the top 50 from the descending order list will go the super 64. What's also nice, is that the 16 who go on to the NCAA championships won't have to fly again, but can just stay at the competition site and get ready to compete.

All in all, I'm amazed at how good an arrangement this is. Well done to the group who put it together!
