Is there really that much negativity about him out here. In the past it seems like someone starts out with a post titled, "Mcdougal will win 5000", "Mcdouglas to run olympic marathon trials to make team", "Mcdougal to win it all"

Then when he doesnt do it, someone calls out the original poster. Sure there is some criticism that goes a little too far-but that goes with any sport and its followers.

If it bothers him he did the right thing to quit looking. But it by no means that most letsrun posters, or the majority of opinion out here is negative.


That's part of it, but I think that it's much, much more than that. Read the posts about how he is a loon for going to Liberty, etc.
