I would interpret it to mean that the race is cancelled, but the website never actually uses the word "cancelled." They seem to go out of their way to say the race will not go forward, but avoid the "C" word. It is just another example of the confusing nature of the website and how they do things.

They had to know of this volunteer problem long ago, yet they re-opened registration and accepted more runners until Oct 14, 2007. Why did they do that?

Is there any talk about this in the local press or running community? Anyone saying "I told you so?"
