State championships? Hardly any. Maybe a slow state race in Wyoming.

Hmm yes t94bell, there are several state 3200m championships in Wyo that have been won in 9:40's , however what you are forgetting is that these times are ran in Casper, Wyo at altitude. Mary Cain did have an awesome run , but the race was at or near sea level. Mary would be at ,maybe 10 flat if she were to run 3200m right now in Wyo., and those 9:4x.xx state champ times in Wyo would likely be low 9:30's at sea level.
So in other words the "slow" Wyoming state champion guys would beat her handily
