Oversized tracks are basically an admission by track programs that they are less important than a football practice facility.
We're looking for 200 or 200 banked tracks.
Ratification issues notwithstanding, that's a pretty narrow view. I'd imagine many college distance runners (myself included) would jump at the opportunity to have a 300ish meter training facility for indoors...gentler turns, easier on the hips. Regardless of why the school builds a bigger facility (football probably pays a huge part, yes), the fact that YOU, as a fan trying to make comparisons, don't like them, doesn't mean that plenty of athletes wouldn't.
To combat message board spam (by non runners). We are making people answer a brief question before they can post on a thread that is over 20 days old.
