|Subject: ||RE: Excessive Sweat- Dehydration prevention?|
I am an epic sweater and live in Atlanta...although I can't run distance anymore, I vividly recall the torture of May-September training. Anything over 10 miles and I would literally be squishing sweat out of my shoes and leaving footprints! The only tactic that seemed to work for me to keep from becoming a zombie on anything over an hour is drinking 2-3 gulps of a water/sports drink combo every mile starting at mile 1. I felt like starting early helped stave it off and just doing 2-3 swigs each time helped keep from getting a guy full of water swishing around.
