I would like just ONE link to a credible source for this. Thanks. (Because I don't believe it at all.)
Anyone who doesn't already know this frankly doesn't know much about the sport. Lagat and Li have been quite clear about this, and it's not 65-70 exaggerated by a journalist that's probably a runner. It's more like 50.

There was a article by Dr. Li in the Spring 2009 issue of British Milers Club Journal, in which Li described the preparation for the 2009 World Championships, including training samples. One comment:
"Only once per week is there a double training session -- could account for the few injuries he has had in his career"
Yeah, pick a session he did once in his career as typical--typical garbage you see around here.
