Can a ship be built today that will not sink because of the influence of another existing technology(ies)?
I'd say the styrofoam boat would sink if you were able to make a huge piece of steel and place it on top of the styrofoam.
Wrong. Styrofoam is by definition an alternating fibre -- composed mostly of methane and colloidal silver. It would absorb most of the volume from the steel and share its mass.
