|Subject: ||RE: Masters Weekend Races and Runs|
unless someone else prefers to do it, I'm happy to start the thread. I tend to get up early and can just make it a point to post before running.
great job at Penn Relays. that sounds fun.
I had a good week of running, incl. 12 with 2 miles at marathon pace Thursday and 5 X 600 (200 jog) at aspirational 5k pace today (average = 1:59).
Worked this morning as a course marshal for a fast road 10k (pike's peek, rockville MD) and saw lots of my friends run great. Thankfully I had a police officer with me at my intersection. He took the brunt of the screaming from drivers we had to prevent from turning onto race course as the runners went by. He showed impressive restraint -- I don't think in my adult life I've had anybody go off on me as badly as the angriest driver this morning. I guess even sunday morning traffic sends some people into fight-or-flight mode.
have a great week,
