Check this particular excerpt:
"Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Zach came back in dropped off a few bags in the kitchen and headed straight for our old bedroom. I figured he’d be making another appearance before we could get things completely wrapped up. We had done a number on the whole place but especially taking extra to care to turn the bedroom upside down. Maybe it was my way of making him feel the pain I was going through. It was not my finest hour, that’s for sure. I heard the door swing open violently and there appeared the person I thought I would be spending the rest of my life with."
It actually reads like an Onion piece or something where the author is deliberately TRYING to use as many cliches as possible.
"Speak of the devil", "done a number", "turn the bedroom upside down", "not my finest hour", "spending the rest of my life with".
This is high school level shit.
