Any thoughts on the matter since OCCC has lost its big guns. Who will take over on the guys side this year?

We were third last year and I think we have a legit shot at taking it home this year.
You heard it here first...City College of San Francisco
Orange Coast
Row come occc they lost all of their top guys. Trackhead is a dueche. And ccs won't do much. Oh and francis gaydan is my bitch. Remember we have Uribe and the longer the distance the better he is. We'll be even better if his brother Miguel runs to.
occ will dominate.
I agree with MLBfan24
If you guys think occ will dominate explain why you think so. Yes they did win the last two years but look at their team then and now. They have no big guns (illegal ones at that)on there team.
Word is that their men will be VERY TOUGH and their women will rely on their top returner from last year... she will be a standout, but the rest of them will have to work their butts off to make something happen. Their men will dominate!
Word is the their guys are tough then who do they have coming out. Their girls top returner if your refering to my hs teammate jewel butler then yes she should be very strong as long as she doesn't get injured like she has the last two and a half years.
OCC should win again, although I think they'd be much better if they didn't blaze out on easy days, which I hear from people
I asked the reason why should they win who do they have. And I'll I've seen is I heard they're really tough and the should win again. I want to know why you think that and who they got not just going by the previous two years results cause that team is gone. Unless they turned into riverside and recruited 6 kenyans
I just know that they are usually very competitive, the training/coaching is pretty good, so I'm making that choice, although I'm not as informed as others
Is Mt. Sac great this year?
The Juco forum is at jucoboard.tk, that is owned by my friend Curly who owns geocities.com/guillen05
SFCC? Why? Granted they have a couple of guys, but enough character and ability to WIN the STATE MEET? Come on, this is serious business, it takes sooooooo much to be a CHAMPION, leadership from the coach, character from the guys on the team. LUCK, HARD WORK, DISCIPLINE, KNOWING HOW TO RACE!
I'm sorry, but there just isn't enough there for these guys to take the throne. Many have tried, many have acommmplished the goal, but it takes more than what sfcc has!
Riverside mever had "kenyans"...just one kebyan in 1989.
Anyone know of any links to CA State (or Norcal) JUCO XC results? I'm talking mid to late 60s...need to verify some claims...
What years, what claims? Most of the older results are hard copies. Check with Bob Rush. Others who may have copies are college hosts over the years, Sierra College, Shasta College, Fresno CC, MPC and CSM. Norcals have been held in several sites, state meet has been Fresno over a somewhat different course.
Ask any of the old guard about results or info. Gary Shaw, Gary Judd, Bill Campbell, Bob Rush, Steve Haas, Gary Lewis and Jim Linthicum to mention a few.
BTW
Other sites, Moorpark College, San Diego-Balboa Park, L.A.-Griffith Park, College of the Canyons.
They also had some Algerian kid in '89 who was a pretty good miler. I could never beat him, name escapes me.
Orange Coast. Go Pirates!
I ran then - what you want to know? (in So Cal, somewhat familiar with No Cal)
