I used to run more in my late teens, early twenties. I'm waking up to the fact that I'm slightly overweight and out of touch with running and training. I still eat like I did when I was training for marathons 15 years ago. Lots of carbs, heavy meals, etc. I don't train much. I'm running probably 10-20 miles per week, slow jogs at about 9 minute pace. I don't know strength training because I used to just run high mileage and never felt that was necessary. I haven't been on this site in a long time, so I'm not sure what has changed over the years. I used to get good advice mixed with some stupid, but usually funny remarks.
I'm curious if you all could point to a good strategy, plan, or guide to get going again. I don't know if it's marathons I want to run again, but I am in a rut and all I know is slow running. I can look back at my training logs and see I was doing intervals, tempos, etc. But it's like I've got amnesia on how I was putting all of that together.
