I have a 5k in 12 days and want to achieve a time below 18:40 min 5k.
I did 5x1000m with 1:50 min Jogging rest
1. 3:35 (to fast)
2. 3:37
3.3:40
4.3:42
5.3:42
Is it possible for me to run 18:35-18:39min???

Yes, but do not start first kilometre faster than 3:40
maybe it depends how hard the workout was for you. Should've been pretty easy since that's a good bit of rest
I did that workout but a little slower and I ran a 5k in just under 10 days so provided you put in the miles, you should be able to break the 12 day barrier.
of course
18:36 is doable:)
good luck!
These threads are impossible to answer without knowing the rest of your schedule or how hard this work out was. One workout tells us just about nothing.

This is the key.
3:40-3:45 for the first one
but even if he killed this workout hammered it all out.
I dont think he could done it at 3k pace with that short rest 1:50 min jogging.
if he runs right he should finish close under 18.40 min
Probably below 18:35 min. Start the race easy. Its all about pacing . But in a race situation the first km could be 3.30 min....and than all is fackd...get a pacemaker who could run in the 17th area which will guide you...every km in 3.42...you will finish proper
Did the same workout with 2 min standing. First and second 3:42, third 3:40, fourth and fifth in 3:37. So a little bit '2seconds slower' but with negative split. Race was 18:19. So you are there.
