I’m running a 1600 for middle school on Thursday. It’s our first Outdoor meet. There are some pretty fast people in that race. How could I win? Tips??

Just race how you feel.
Learn from it and adjust in your next race.
TRUST THE PROCESS
Get out in front. Stay there till the end of the race.
The only true way, is to go balls to the walls from the start.

Pay attention to this. Middle school pacing is even more awful than high school pacing. Start off at a measured pace, and then move up consistently as the guys ahead of you crash and burn. You'll still have to work hard on laps 3-4, when it will get tempting to just settle into your place.
