I was diagnosed with a tibial stress fracture back in August of 2018 which pretty much ended both my XC and Track seasons of College having to take 6 weeks off and then returning too soon realizing that I had just aggravated the injury more. I then took an additional 11-12 weeks off which I then got confirmation by my Sports Doc. to run again. However; I'm only 3 weeks into returning to run again and I have been having weird shin pain that has been very sporadic in nature and in areas above and below where I had the stress fracture initially. I have tried to palpate my entire shin in specific locations to find a source of pain, but I could not find anything. I was just curious as to if anyone has had this sort of pain when returning back from a tibial stress fracture, specifically in the posterior region. I'm technically "healed", but I'm kinda concerned as to keep with the plan my sports doctor gave me as it doesn't hurt to run, but on the days where I don't I have this random sporadic pain throughout the day.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Also, I should mention that the area in which I had the stress fracture doesn't hurt at all, nor is there any pain palpating the area, there just seems to be general aches and pains above, and below the area.
