That is a pretty competitive race. 80 runners under 18. You don’t see that anymore.

Very humble and he holds Whitlock in high-regard.
Hope Gene is around the running scene for many more years. He has become an aspiration for a lot of masters runners in the area. Everyone was listening but the older crew were just transfixed.
I can only hope to be like that at his age!
I got crushed by a dyke once.
Gene runs a lot further than 5K! An ultra runner with 41 events listed, including multi days. Don’t forget the long ones, people!
