This is awful. We are being bombarded with so much terrible IAAF news this week that it is hard to fathom. The 5k and 10k at the WCs and Olympics are obviously in serious danger.

wtf - Seriously do they even know what most people are fans of? Have they done any market research at all? Maybe there is more to this but I mean this world XC is going to be an obstacle course not a running course (its only the crawling under the fence thats missing) but the hammer throw and triple jump no worries there the new premier events for IAAF.
Time for distance running to break off from IAAF.
Where did you see this about World Jrs (U20)?

It is on the front page. Hopefully the mods clean up the OP. The LRC staff added:
“If you are from East Africa and think they hate you, we understand why you think that.”
5000 and 10000 are a joke at the juniors anyway, have been for decades.

The 10000 has never been an evert for the women but yes sad that they are dropping it for the men
And it does not say they are moving the event to UK just says that more European nations now might want to host
Restricting epo usage
The casual fan likes the sprints. Anything over a mile is boring. You notice how whenever there is a race over a mile on TV they will always break away to show some field event or go to commercial.

does the race walk stay?
to answer the question, have we done our research?
yes, in depth research indicates that there are many fans in the market who enjoy distance running, both the 5 and 10k.
and yes, distance running was found to be important to keep the tradition and backbone in place.
and yes, east africa benefits from a modest but important cash flow to the region that inspires the country to persue sport and feed so many in need,
these findings are of no surprise, and everyone seems aware of them.
however, we need to make some quick money, push a global agenda of creating and forcing into place illogical rules, and finally we don't give a flying f***ck in any case, pardon our french.
so running fans, grow a pair, swallow the bitter pill and kiss your favorite sport goodbye.
for we have all the power, and you losers have none, so stop crying about spilt milk.
rulers rule, and peasants dig ditches.
god bless you all, and thanks for your ongoing support.

of course, the transgender 3k racewalk is now the showcase event.
back by popular demand.
zero voted by the public, 100% approval by the IAAF.
god bless the IAAF

it is important to change your sport to accommodate people who know little and ditch the tried and true hard core supporters.
for example, the casual pool player have great difficulty on a proper snooker table and much prefer the small bar type table.
therefore snooker should change from the big table to the little table.
so they can make people that don't play pool and enjoy the sport more.
ya, change all the sports, dumb them down so non fans, with the attention span of a gold fish might chime in and view.
this after all is the age of the moran.
everything needs to be stupid.
time and again, these bogus organizations put on the table put in place things no one wanted, the public did not want, just bang,
they put a plate of steaming turds on the table and say eat it.
then guys like wojo's debate it and say unbelievable, and debate some more.
when the correct action is to take the plate of steaming turds off the table, there is no place for steaming turds on the table,
steaming turds to not exist on the table, people that put steaming turds on the table get the boot, there is no discussion.
I like your metaphor.
Well now that everyone's mad as hell at the IAAF it is time to organize a BOYCOTT of the 2019 season. Someone get to organizing.
I was thinking of starting my own league and calling it the Platinum League. I will make a track and stadium and call it the Bekele Van Dyke International arena. I will just need a few millions from investors.

For Coe, it's all about money, see his murky CSM/Chime and Nike dealings.
Things will only get worse and worse, until this greedy person with his fight against transparency is out.

no way, coe's not all about the money.
its' about the trust fund.
its about the knight hood
its about the crony good old boys club coe the commoner has "risen" to.
its about being in league with satan, and acting accordingly.
its about being the anti-braveheart
disgusting traitor.

But this is going to bring in less money. I'm more likely to go to a concert or festival that is at least 3-4 hours long as opposed to something that is only 90 minutes or less. For others, I'm guessing that they'd felt the same about T&F. What a rip-off.
