Hi Jamin!
Hi, TAA!
Hi Hardloper!
Did you get that from the library or was the check-out process a little too tough for ya?
The mission of corporations is profit maximization. Cities, counties, states/provinces and nations will tell corporations how much social responsibility they demand. Corporations are regulated and taxed. If government at any level is not satisfied with the social mission of a corporation, a government body will deal with a corporation in a manner a government body sees fit. We know governments can choose to be very friendly to corporations. We can give examples of corporations paying no property tax. We can give examples of corporations paying lower corporate income tax than normal. We all know governments can fine corporations. We also know governments, at times seize corporations and take all the assets.
