Hi,
I am 12 years old and I want to train this summer for 800m. Im running 2:35 and I want to be able to run 2:15-2:20 after.
I don't want to burn out because of over training. I want to train well to be able to reach my goal and to not burn out. I was thinking of the following program:
M: 20-25min steady run + plyo and core
T: rest
W: speed endurance like 6x45s or 6x1min or 5x2min or 4x3min or 6x200m
T: rest
F: on track: 6x150m or 3x400m or 4x250m or 3x500 or 250m-500m-250m or 2 set of 400m-200m-200m or 8x60m hill
S: 25min easy or steady run + core
S: rest
Please give me some suggestions of program or tell me if this program is ok for my age.
