I'm 37 and was driving before cell phones were really a mainstream thing. From what I can recall, texting and driving has steadily become more common every year, with 2018-2019 being no different. On my daily commute of 20 minutes I can easily count 50 people driving (moving or at a light) starting at a phone in their hand, either up by the wheel or down by their lap.
Every single light that I come to shows one person in four no starting to move when the light changes green. What's worse is that those same cars will ping off the shoulder line and the middle Lane line for miles creating a sawtooth pattern in the lane. It's like a ******* sh1tty bowling lane with the bumpers inflated so little children have a shot at hitting the pins.
When I'm especially annoyed I will honk at cars who cross the lines repeatedly, or who repeatedly fail to recognize the light turned green. Without fail they throw up a hand gesture saying "wtf? Why are you honking at me? Calm down, pu$$Y"
