Assuming she's healthy, she's got to be the favorite, right?

I predict a DNF. That’s a brutal race to do an ultra debut. How about a low key 50k to start?
My bad- thought she was doing the 100. Go Kara!

Did you read the article?
I sincerely hope she decides to do a few trail races at shorter distances before doing Leadville. She sounds like she needs the experience and the confidence.
So at this point, I would not put her as a favorite.
She's doing the Leadville Trail Marathon -- that's 26.2 miles. She not doing the 100-mile race.
This is great that Kara Goucher is doing the Leadville Trail Marathon.
Soon she can kick Camille Herron's butt.
She’s no longer relevant
Is it an olympic trials qualifier?
There’s bound to be some tears involved then
Leadville makes a lot of seasoned trail runners cry. I don’t see why Kara would be any different.

Isn't that a qualifier for the 100?

You don't have to qualify for Leadville 100. They let anybody in, except Walmsley.
Is there a Walking event?
Seems they could make it even slower.
Good for her. People don’t like her because she exposed Alberto as a pusher.

Yeah and all the evidence she talked about will be coming out soon. Real soon. Any day now.

I do enjoy losers bashing Kara because she's an emotional runner. Anonymous trolls that will never come close to running her PRs. What a joke.
The funny thing is, I don't even like Kara. I'm pretty indifferent to her. But one thing I do like to sniff out is pathetic people that like to bash people anonymously.
For me, Kara Goucher will always be that “washed up”, injury-plagued former college superstar who came back from the dead in 2007 to medal at the WCs which absolutely nobody saw coming. That alone made me a fan for life, but the fact that she loves running so much that she is still going well past her prime just makes me like her even more. Daniel Cormier cries a lot too. Both are beasts.

Looks like she was a pretty good runner.
Personal best(s)
1500 meters: 4:05.14[1]
3000 meters: 8:34.99[1]
5000 meters: 14:55.02[1]
10,000 meters: 30:55.16[1]
Half marathon: 1:06:57[1]
Marathon: 2:24:52[1]
This will be fun to watch when she will crush the trail races.
