I wish her the best. There is nothing worse than being an injured teenage. You find something you are good and passionate about it and then suddenly you can't do it. Every season feels like an eternity.
If I were her, I'd start OVER. Give yourself a year. Forget that you ran 4:07. Try to give yourself a year to go from 0 to say 40 mpw.
She is one of my favorite runners. Her accomplishments will remain, best of luck on her new path.

Schedule with James Black at Johns Hopkins - her surgeon. Have read her instagrams and this is who she went with. Has a pic with him. She's coming back - but doing it her way. Can't wait to see her on the track again - was always a highlight to see her compete!
