Why no official 1500m splits for the Americans? With mile times like those I'd expect they'd crack into top 10 all time for US 1500m list (?)

Crazy how Gregorek, Prakel, and Wynne ran 3:49, 3:50, and 3:51 just to prove to the brojos that the USA had depth in the mile/1500m
Or maybe they ran that fast to prove to the rest of us how even second tier elites can run crazy times in a fast race on a fast track.
Those times convert to 3:32, 3:33 and 3:34. Let's see how close they get this summer.
Huh? His split was 3:31.25.
What in the world was the purpose of Abda?
There are races for the win. Times tend to be so slow we mock there here on LR. First lap so slow I still might keep up. Centro is an example of a runner great for that. And races for time. Which are frankly rare at that distance, and to lead the pace means losing more often than winning. So here the others got to ride the pace and roll into full speed. And it was awesome!

Right AGAIN. How do I do it?
And maybe now people will catch on that indoor tracks are in fact faster than outdoor for 1500 and up. If the 5000 were a big thing indoors, there would be sub 13's all over the place.
how fast was Kejelcha through 109m today? anyone know?

Still soft, as they've only been attacked by a 5k/10k/half runner.
So if you can get a specialist 1500/mile runner, who's also on whatever sauce NOP are dishing out, there's seconds just waiting to come off both records.

Just run a 3:46 flat mile and come through the 1500 a tick under 3:31 flat.
Like I said.
Or maybe a 3:46.5 mile would have gotten them both.
But getting both was possible with a really fast mile.
All hail Kyle Merber, new clean WR.
We all know that anyone who runs fast is dirty, particularly anyone from Ethiopia. And everyone else ran too close to Kejelcha, so it is clear that they are all dirty. What a sham. I declare Kyle Merber clean and the new WR holder.

I think they could even get faster. The right surfaces, spring boards. Could be like the gymnastic exercise floor.
World A standards for four Americans. Engels hit 3:35.78 at 1500m mark and was rewarded for taking up pace after rabbit dropped.
Hopefully this kick starts the dreary men’s American 1500 situation over the past few years (minus Centro). Note to others Americans on the sidelines and not racing: fortune favors the bold.
Thanks to NOP for keeping the lights on season after season.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.
Where is Matt Centro in all of this? Shouldn't these be the races he is in?

Outdoors are faster, easier and faster to go around a 400 meter track one then a 200 track twice, 160 Tracks are even slower than 200 meter tracks.
The only way outdoors is slower is when there is bad weather like Heavy Winds And/Or Heavy Rain or if it is VERY hot.
A light rain and cool weather is ideal for the 5000 and 10000
nice to see Kyle Merber back in the mix.
cheers.

Easier why? Having to apply precious force to centripetal acceleration is harder. Good banked tracks are more like running in a straight line the whole way, just keep running forward and gravity takes care of the turning. Maybe not all indoor tracks are faster, but the best banked ones are.
on another note, the "wall of pacers" thing was no class, cheap trickery that was worth no more than a tenth or two but puts an asterisk on yet another Salazar-coached athlete. That should not be allowed in track races, and if it starts a trend, I'm sure it will be banned.
The 4th fastest 5000m runner of all time, and I predict Jacob will never run that 18 year olds time.

Centro is with BTC now. He's busy racing workouts..........look for him to actually race maybe twice this year.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
