In recent interviews he's mentioned that he's been recovering from Lyme disease. He got it over the summer and it took a few months to diagnose.

All of the girls who go pro burn...RUBBER, when their pro money affords them a nice car. Some of the girls who go pro do it too early and do burn out. Some of the girls who go pro don't do it soon enough and burn out. Some of the girls who go pro laugh all the way to the bank and love life, and the many positive things their track careers have to offer.

Good for them, even if they don't live up to expectations. Good for each of them. Each individual. Possibly not knowing one another. From different families, different background. Different pressures.

She's great.

She should go pro now, and have the money put into a trust. Sign a 2-year deal, renewable, with performance bonuses and escalation. That way she would at least make some $, and also have an opportunity to make bigger $ when she hits her prime.

Would anybody sign her right now? I would. She seems like the real deal, and she's young enough to be totally absorbed by running track. Plus, she's young enough to appeal to an entirely new audience, and it is that audience that (I think) tends to spend money on endorsed products.

There are very few things I would like to see more than Mu destroying that Semenya guy--but remember Semenya IS a guy, and is likely faster than he has yet run. We will see what the new T ruling means to him, but Mu's endless legs, the infinite stride, combined with the desire... Give her some turnover and...excellent.

I like Nelvis. She's all woman, and she's all athlete. The best of both worlds.

Other women in track could learn from how she performs, and how she carries herself. She brings a grace and a humanity to a sport that often lacks both. One of my favorites in world T&F.
