he is only 36 and after all the training and experience he still can't top his PR from TEN years ago in 2009? whats up with that? its like his endurance has not gotten better whatsoever

because his half PR is ridiculous (60:00) and we all know ritz has struggled with injuries forever. Hard to get back to that level when your training is often interrupted (or focus switched to full marathons)

Someone who can tempo a 45:00 10 miler should be able to break one hour for the half marathon.
because he needs a new coach and training system. He needs coachjs - the magician!

That 45:00 10 miler was ALSO around the same time as his half. You guys can't have it both ways...lol
How many world class runners set their PR at that age?
A 45-minute 10-miler is equivalent to a 59-flat half. If he ran it as a temp, then it would be like a 56:48 considering he ran it less than 10 seconds per mile than regular pace. Wow. Quite a time.

Bernard Lagat PRd at the half at age 43
Mo Farah PRd at the full marathon age 35
I don't know many of the names and histories of world class runners but I'm sure there are countless others setting PRs in their mid 30s

Sure, if you can't count past 10 or so.

and ritz hasn't PRd for a DECADE
Of the current top 100 all time half marathon performers, not one set his PR over the age 35
So you are asking why Ritz hasn't done something that is rare.
Lagat and Farah would have run faster half PR had they went for it at a younger age.
Ritz turned to the marathon at a younger age than they did.

Just 4 weeks ago he's running 31:xx for 10k now is 10sec faster/mile for HM. He's a big responder to the limited mileage/big cross training an even better responder to run mileage/run workouts

ritz isn't in the top 100 so should't we be comparing him to people who....idk....ran around the same PR as him?
in any sense, your list includes plenty of guys over the age of 30. and ritz was 26 when he last PRd. thats nearly half a decade or not improving whatsoever...in his bodies prime years
I did.
