Question about a friend of mine. A friend of mine spent her freshman year at a divison II school to run. She got hurt and did not compete for the 2014-2015 season. She transferred to a D1 school and ran cross country for the 2015-2016 season. She then did not run the next year. She re-joined again for 2017-2018 season. Then she joined again and ran this last 2018 season. She graduated from Highschool in 2014. She graduated from college this last winter, but if she came back and got her masters, could she compete again? She could not right, since her clock is up? It says on the NCCA website that the clock starts as soon as you are enrolled full time in a D1 School, but she did not compete at a D1 school her freshman year? So could she rejoin and compete next year? You have 5 years right? Just wondering cause she was joking around about joining again, and I was curious if that would even be possible?
This is her timeline.....
2014-2015 Cross season: Did not compete in track or cross. Spent it at D2 school.
2015-2016 Cross season: Competed in Cross Country at D1 school. Track: did not compete.
2016-2017 Cross season: Did not compete in Cross Country or track. Quit.
2017-2018 Cross Country season. She competed in Cross Country and Track.
2018 Cross Country season: She competed in Cross Country. She graduated this last winter and did not compete in track.
