I am a 2:55 marathoner and I was wondering what pace is too slow for me that it’s not even worth the wear and tear on my body to run the miles?
Thanks I want to make each mile count

No, if I am doing a easy jog/recovery run I am not afraid to do it at a 8-10 minute mile pace. Though most of my easy mileage isn't this slow, if my body is worn down or I am just tired, I will go as easy as possible. We need to learn to listen to our bodies. Some days my easy pace is almost as fast as my marathon pace, it just happened that day that felt easy. But here is the thing, I do not force it, I let it come to me. It all depends on how you are feeling. This is one reason why I am a fan of running by time not distance. Some days I'll run 10 miles in a hour and other days I'll run just 7 miles in a hour. It all depends on how I am feeling that day and what fells easy that day.
