Anyone ever encounter big foot, El Chupacabra, Nessie, Champ, Montauk Monster, Jersey Devil, other mythical creature, or experience paranormal activity while out on a run?
What's the strangest thing you've encountered while running?

None because I’ve never been running while under the influence of psilocybin.
Although that sounds incredibly fun and I will try it at least one before I die.
First place I went to hike and run after moving to this area. Before I knew anything about RUE I often times felt a presence but not at the lighthouse keepers residence. Above the lighthouse there is a section of trail that always raises the hair on the back of my neck.
Story of RUE
On a jog in a park in Amsterdam one Evening little black. Bunnies were following me around (lit af obvs)
Also on a fondo once , during heatstroke, I was seeing little purple/pink men in the field across the road, or at times pacing me in the opposite lane
I've seen a few Alabama Blacksnakes on the trail before
Was at London Drugs , and a saw a older 40+ lady with huge botox lips, buying lip balm ?
I turned a corner on Portland’s Leif Erickson Trail and there was a creature straight out of a Harry Potter movie. It had straight horns about 2 feet long. It turned out to be an oryx that had gotten away from an exotic animal keeper nearby but on a Sunday morning trail run it was otherworldly.
I once saw the ghost of a Unicorn.
I was running in London after not making the final in the steeplechase at the 2012 OG, so I went for a run. I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand walking through the streets of SoHo in the rain. He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein.
I once got passed by David Moorcroft in his prime while running on a London street in the early 80's. Does that count as a mythical experience? I also got passed by the actress Joanna Lumley. Walking. Far better than a Sasquatch.
Years ago I went out for a run in downtown Ethiopia ( Past the 7-11 and Shell station) when I saw it..... the fur.... the stench..... the sideburns... I knew then I had come face to face with.....(gulp) the dreaded DIBABA!! I was able to get away by dropping some spare EPO viles I always carry. A narrow escape for sure.
Once I saw a beaver carrying what looked like a small tree
La Llorona, two different times along the Rio Grande in Dona Ana county.
In my local park I once encountered the mythical Beast With Two Backs.
Every freaking run on the treadmill I turn it to the Travel network and they have some ghost hunting garbage on.
I once saw what I later learned to be a creature called ‘Jamin.’
Still have nightmares about it.

Only once?
I’ve seen a number of topless hotties, definitely mystical creatures! Also have found $100, a dead body and an Irish wolfhound.
Most of the stuff you mentioned involves being high.
Running in Mordor one time, I saw Gollum.
Never knew that runner's high is similar to shrooms or LSD. Or more like the psychedelic effects of heat exhaustion.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Ryan Eiler, 3rd American man at Boston, almost out of nowhere
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
