Half of this board are proclaiming him better than Bekele and he misses El G's weakest record by far, even when as Bad Wiggins says indoor tracks are faster now than outdoors for distance.
Only Jakob is capable of taking down El G's records. Yomif is 21 and can't do it. We haven't even seen Jakob race on a track as an adult yet, and look at the times he's ran already. Jakob is going to pick off El G's records one by one, probably starting with the mile indoor next winter.
Definitely no chance for Keyelcha to break this record from El Guerrouj, Millrose clearly proved that. JI obviously soon will break 3:42

And I go out and GLOAT because a guy who is not even a miler and rarely runs indoors can scare the world indoor record because.... BANKED TRACKS.
Pit all the world's top elites in serious competition on these tracks, and records drop at least 1 second from 1500 up. Prove me wrong.
Gladwell, of the oft-debunked Moronic Tall Kenyan Runner theory, continues to put forth another ridiculous hypothesis, which has also been smashed to bits by the facts.
What were his 200 splits?

Can't we say it's practically a WR tie? Why obsess over .01 second? I know there's IAAF and all that, but come on, can't we be practical and recognize ?
Oh hell no.

So Yomif is 0.01s away from breaking an El G record, Jakob is 5 seconds away.... conclusion: Jakob has a better chance...
PLUS your comment about Yomif being too old now, when El G was 22/23 when he set his indoor record.
WOW. I reckon lead would float on you.
Eamonn Coghlans reaction was funny.
It will be interesting to see what Kejelcha does outdoors.

Lol, I wasn't even being very serious in that comment. I think Yomif likely will break the record. But you're a moron if you're still dissing Jakob. He just practically solo ran a 3:36.21 1500m today in his rust buster barely breaking a sweat. And he's just turned 18.
