Was not she the one who beaten by that Japanese amateur dude who refused to give in during the 2017 Tokyo marathon? Even more impressive that he beat a doper.
Wow!...another Kenyan marathoner busted! Just shocked! AIU report says ABP case - so I'm guessing a hematological anomalies case (ESA or transfusions).
That 2:19:47 is 25th fastest all-time - she's no slouch.

Wonder why people here aren't talking about this?
She actually told LetsRun what she think's about people who are suspicious of Kenyan performances.
https://youtu.be/ALBy69S_20I?t=63Funny how LetsRun interviewed her several times in the past, but now she's another Kenyan doping bust, she's evidently not elite enough for her story to make the front page.
This is getting ridiculous. The curtain is being lifted, abs it's about time. Who will be next? Wait until they dig into Pineda's crew.

Sister-in-law of Jemimah Sugong and under the management of Rosa.
https://www.nation.co.ke/sports/athletics/Chepchirchir-to-pace-Sumgong-London-Marathon/1100-3832810-toff7jz/index.htmlWojo actually visited their training camp in 2017 and came away with the feeling that 'they were doing it clean'. He also was sure Kiprop was clean (before the bust).
Poppycock. These so-called scientists still don't get that those values come from altitude. Sarah was at altitude and has no case to answer.
Also why would a 2:19 runner start doping? That would only make her slower.

Not elite enough? A 2:18 marathoner? (top 25 all-time!). And it is weird that no one is talking about this.
Five or so years ago something like this would have garnered dozens of posts by now. No explanation from El K. No damage control from Conova. No talking points from rekrunner. Perhaps people have become accustomed to these top Kenyans getting busted now and the "shell shocked" peroid is over? Maybe It's becoming more of the attitude that people take of the Russians (oh...another Russian was busted for doping?...big deal....who cares....yawn?).

Seems like there is a major Kenyan bust every few months now. Only thing is, another two or three new faces pop up to replace them. The women marathoners are as bad as the Russians were.
And WTF about the roaring silence from the direction of Ethiopia? Will they ever get tested properly?

I thought Ethiopia was getting tested as much as Kenya is under that new East African anti-doping protocol? (e.g.,aggressive OOC testing with boots on the ground). Now Ethiopia is not testing positive left & right Kenyan is. Could Ethiopia actually be doing it clean and Kenya is doping like crazy in order to stay competitive with them? ?
Long time coming and was the elite mentioned as pending with the spate of busts early last year. Tied to sister-in-law Jemima Sumgong’s mess resulting in an actual suspension by the Rosas(!) in 2017.
Have at her, folks. Won’t be defending this one. I, and a lot of Kenyans, have actually believed she’s a deliberate cheat for a while. There’s one more person I’d like to see go down then I’ll be fine with the entire body of Kenyan elites. Happy she got caught even though it took so long.
Like I’ve always said, these busts will continue to get fewer and fewer from their peak of a couple of years ago with nearly all the bad guys weeded out.

I think Ethiopia is doing it clean. Draconian Government rules with strict controls on foreigners. Kenya is a free-for-all that allows everyone into the country. There’s such a thing as too much freedom.

Oh what is my good friend Renato going to say now? Another Rosa athlete. I have Rekrunner's excuse already for everyone to save him the effort. He will point out how in 2018 she could only run 2:39 and is in no way evidence that she was a doper when she ran 2:19.

Spot on with the Monaco man. Do you think Canova might just actually throw in the towel on this one and give up trying to always run damage control? He might as well just admit there's a massive doping problem in Kenya even with those at the very top.
Chepchirchir is a smoker; 2:19:47 - puts her as the 9th fastest Kenyan female all time.
Awesome story, I couldn't stop laughing:
Daily Nation wrote:
The elite marathon stars recently suspended by Rosa Associati will be free to rejoin the Italian management stable once investigations into alleged doping cases are completed.
The management stable’s director Federico Rosa on Sunday also clarified that none of the athlete are being investigated for doping, but they are merely helping in offering information that would help clear the air on the mystery surrounding Olympic champion Jemima Sumgong’s doping ban.
“Absolutely,” was the response Federico had on Sunday after Nation Sport asked him if suspended Paris Marathon champion Purity Rionoripo, Tokyo Marathon Sarah Chepchirchir and former Paris winner Visiline Jepkesho would be admitted back by his management.
Federico said Rosa Associati will stop at nothing in ensuring their athletes compete clean and will be happy to co-operate with any investigations into substance abuse in Kenya.
Oh the irony.
Subway, did you write that?
