Actually for this meet there is a hump in the middle that slows it down by another 2 sec
NCAA flat track conversion for the men's mile is actually about 3 seconds.
you're right. I used the wrong conversion
worth about 3 seconds in womens mile. mens as well, so 3:52mid for Cheserek, solo after 800m. pretty good.
worth 1.5 seconds in 800. 1:57high for Ajee, converted. would be american record. WR 1:55.8 by a slovakian in 2002.
so Murphy is very fit with 1:44mid conversion. and Brazier still beat him last week...but nowhere close to 1:42 WR.
I hope they make this a banked track someday... good competition but it's impossible to get excited about conversions and "flat track world records"
Willis was supposed to run the mile today but heard at the meet he woke up with back spasms to had to DNS
Hope he feels better for next weekends Millrose Games
Today was Cheserek's birthday so does he performance today make him the masters (over 40 yo) indoor world record holder?

Lagat ran 3:54 at age 40
Georganne Moline ran 2:06.96 in the non-elite 800m.
This joke has beaten to death. Please stop. I am guessing you were the socially inept kid in school who would repeat the joke everyone had started a month ago after it was no longer funny?
Develop some self awareness and realize that you are conveying racism in your post by the assumption that because he is of African descent he has to be an age cheat. He’s been here since 16 as a high schooler.
