Tuohy, Starliper, Chmiel for the girls, Dolan, Affolder, Renfree for the boys.
Also just pointing out that both of Will Coogan’s parents are former Olympians - kid’s got some seriously good distance genes and should be a contender next year

Cus he has two parents who are Olympians. Girls mile should be great . Last year Touhy went for the record ,blew up and got beat by Chemiel. Question this year is what is Touhy’s bigger fear: Chemiel or trying again for the record?
Chmiel pulled out of NBIGP with "injury". Long term injury or saving it for Millrose?
I've seen Will Baginski anchor a 4x1600 and SMR and I've gotta say the dude has wheels.
I really hope for the best race for him but his opponents are pretty tough.

I saw somewhere that Touhys first mile in the recent 3K was about as fast as the mile PR for the remainder of the Millrose field - that sounds right as she was about 4:45.
My recollection is last year was just a bad day for Tuohy - her coach said something to the effect that he could see after the first 400 something was not right. I think she got the flu soon after that - whether that was part of it or not, who knows.
below is from the local newspaper
"Her coach, Brian Diglio, said Tuohy, who has drawn much national attention in recent months and Thursday was named one of three finalists for the national Gatorade Girls Cross-Country Player of the Year Award, was very upset with the outcome, especially with expectations for her so high.
Despite her lead, Diglio knew early on something was wrong.
Aiming to break 4:40, she was behind her projected 800-meter split by three seconds, he noted. She completed 809 meters in 2:19.18.
Diglio rushed to the finish well before Tuohy relinquished her lead, worried she was injured.
In fact, his concern began after just 400 meters.
He said after the race she reported she never felt right but was unhurt.
“She was struggling from the beginning,” Diglio said. … “She didn’t have it.”"
4:16... Fantastic runner, but he is totally out classed in this race. He earned his spot, but is a step down from that top group.
Dolan takes the W with Mcinerney coming close second and Affolder third. No point in talking about the girls cause we all know how that’ll end.
If she was trying to break 4:40 why was she supposed to go out so fast, run even or better yet negative split.
I'll go with Toolin and Tuohy - Toolin in 4:12 (he's race sharp at the moment) and Tuohy in 4:39. The indoor girl's hs mile record (at least per T&F news) is 4:28 from 2013 Mary Cain, which is probably out of reach right now for Tuohy, so I think she runs smart for the victory.
super lame about the chsaa champs being the same day. and what ever happened to the chsaa 4x8? ahh, the glory days....
Going with Renfree not just because I’m a homer but because he has a nose for the win. Competitive as all heck.
Comes from a small school. Same coach has produced three different FLN AA runners in less than 10 years.

Chmiel is supposed to be running the junior XC race on Saturday, so I doubt she is training for the Millrose mile even if she decides to run it.
