I felt like starting a training log to keep me on track of my goals. For this year I aim to run over 3000 miles and get down to a low 1:12 half marathon. My dream is to get to 2:25 in the marathon. I can't imagine running 2:20, and I believe I'm capable of running under 2:30 someday, so I'm saying 2:25 because it is in the middle.
So far I've been averaging about 100k/week(just over 60 miles). I do easy runs, and 3 harder days per week. I'm trying to do at least 16 miles for my longest run of the week. The mileage is a rough estimate. For many of my runs I don't keep a record of distances but I know from experience the distances from tracing the routes on google maps, and I always round down to the nearest mile so I don't overestimate my mileage.
I've never done a half marathon before but plan to do a few this year. I will update again later.
