Could be. He and Fauble have blown by Heath.
Yes he will be.

All I can say is what a joke! How many African born runners where at the front of that race, just ridiculous.
5 Kenyans and 1 American for the world cross team is utter nonsense.
And yes before anyone mentions Farah I'm not a fan no.
They live here and some even serve in our army. Grow up. This isn’t like your plastic Brits who don’t even live in your country.
You must be a donkey hobby jogger if you think that - muppet !

They are Americans who chose to be Americans, just like our forefathers (and foremothers?) which is why we all are not Brits.
I also don't agree with the plastic brits either that can't make there own national teams.

Seemed like a solid race for Hunter, considering this was the first time he ever raced 10k. Perhaps a few of you here remember what that was like.
Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearing to breath free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
We are a country of immigrants like it or not, but I like it.

POTD
So you agree that the USA team should be dominated by African born runners? How would you feel if you where an elite American born athlete trying to make teams. It's not on I disagree with it.

Xenophobia and ignorance as to how American citizenship has always worked aside, who really cares if non-native born Americans are taking all of the USA XC spots? It's not like anyone in the field was capable of racing well at Worlds. It's bunch of semi-pro USA runners. The only pros who showed up also happened to be from WCAP. All of the other big names stayed home.
Futsum hasn't improved at all since college. NAZ elite clearly was a bad fit for him. He is very talented, he just needs to find the right coach/training partners.

I would feel happy for my fellow countrymen. This isn’t an Alexi Pappas/Sam whatever his name is situation where runners are repping different countries so that they can make teams (although I don’t fault that either). People come here because they want to be Americans. I don’t blame them. No one should.
Farah has been in Great Britain since age 8 before anyone could know if he would be a good runner, AND he comes from a Country where the National Record is only 28:06 (By now American Abdi who went on to run 27:16) the Country he came from is nowhere near as good as Great Britain, he can NOT be considered A PLASTIC BRIT, at 800 - Marathon including the Steeple has anyone represented Britain who was not a REAL BRIT? The only 1 I am not sure is from Britain is 1:43.77 for 800 runner Osagie and Lemonciello. Britain does not use fake/plastic Brits in the Distances much at all.

Fair points.
This is the Country Farah comes from, basically 1 good runner (Abdi Bile though Abdi Abdiramen became good after he became an American with American coaching. http://www.apulanta.fi/matti/yu/nrs/SOM_Men.html
I’m a fan of immigrants. I think their children should be able to compete for the US, I just don’t think they should be able to, regardless of country of origin
Farah at age 8 immigrated to a far superior distance running nation than the one he came from.

Would he have been as good if he had stayed in Somalia his whole life? No one knows for sure, but probably not.
Would Salazar have been as good a runner if he had lived in Cuba his whole life? no one knows, but probably not.
They both were successful due to their work ethic and having top coaches from a young age.

If was an elite American born distance runner, especially a younger male, I'd be thanking God I wasn't born in Canada, or some other country where you have to run faster than the Olympic standard to make the team. If we used that rule, we'd have much smaller teams.

It’s a race of the top Americans, so I think the top Americans should make up the US team. Which is what happened today.
