Boys that is...
It’s an All Star team. Who cares about a national record relay when 3 of the 4 legs weren’t even students there 6 months ago?
I guess they must be giving some serious scholarship money to get these athletes?

^this. I was impressed until I read the article on dyestat. They are just an area all star team that got scholarships. Any private school that actually puts an effort into track should be able to pull this off. Hats off to them since they seemed to figure it out and it's probably fun for the kids.
Private school, gives scholarships and can recruit without any limitations. National records aren't that tough when you can get 4 of the top 10 sprinters from the whole mid-Atlantic region.

Yes the kids are recruited. But so does many private high schools in the country. Of course they provide scholarships. Bullis is what $40K to attend.
Give Coach Lee and the kids a lot of credit. If it were so easy to break national records, it would be done often.

All-Star high school relays shouldn't be celebrated.

Wake up bro. This is a team put together over the summer, no other HS track teams do this. It is nothing but an All-Star team. And yes, if HS coaches were allowed to put together All star teams, the records would be ridiculous. This is a joke, their records should not be allowed.
stop saying its an all start team. prior to you seeing the results, you would not have recognized a single name on their relay

Ok, so list each of the relays and say which kids are either freshman or ran there since they started high school as a freshman. Those kids I would say are legit: yes they may be recruited, but at least they were developed by that coach.
Kids that this is their first year as a junior or senior, you cant really claim it isnt an "all star" team.
Quite a few schools recruit, not just Bullis. NYC's best teams are usually recruited club kids who end up or transfer to the same school.

All-Star team as in talented and already ran fast times individually well before they transferred to Bullis. The reason they transferred was to be able to run on these "record relays". They weren't even on the same team just last year. All four from different schools.
"Outside of Allen, who ran a PR of 49.3 in the 400m last indoor season, every other member of the team had transferred in from another program."
"Like his two teammates before him, Pendarvis was a transfer from Annandale (MD) High School who was also looking for ways to fit in with his new team. Over the previous outdoor season, he had finished fourth at Virginia's Group 5A/6A Championships in the 200m, though he had won a title in the 400m with a time of 48.08."

It’s an all star team. Period. As a coach in the state I recognize every single one of the kids names listed there. It is an absolute joke. Not to mention the record they took down the 4 x 4 was from a public high school that was not an All-Star team.
Bullis had the #1 indoor 4x2/4x4 relay teams for girls last year and it looks like they may do that again. Are they imports too?
Yes, they recruit period. Should not be recognized. They bring in established talent. Somebody should pull this same crap in Dallas, crush these guys.

Since the entire school is private I would imagine they are imports. The school is known as a sports magnet for transfers, not just track and field.

3 of the kids were transfers this summer and were state champions in their division. I'd say that qualifies as all star.
Better that kids of similar talent are training together day to day then the alternative.

Cant argue with this point at all. It's awesome for the kids at Bullis. Just sucks for the history books.
