Last decade, hard not so slot Schumacher (Dobert) due to Jager, Bayer, Huling (all sub-8:15), and Thompson in top slot. Who is second best?

Gotta be Brad Hudson. He is teaching that girl of his to leap into disaster and hopefully get up again.
Schumacher/Dobert for sure, with both men and women. Medals.........
For other women? Wetmore, Emma's man?
For men? I'd say Simmons, maybe Gary next. Helmer and Sullivan as of late?
Helmet next up. He has coached Turner and Chroney, and Bayer.

Ed Eyestone has coached faster (Mcadams) and more depth in the 8:30’s.
Well let's see.
Seems like the coach working with the best athletes get's the credit for being a great coach.
Who really is the best at developing and teaching the steeple?
I feel like anybody could coach Jager, but Jerry and Pascal have gotten Huling and Hughes into low teens too.
Wetmore having Slattery, Coburn obviously, and Kipp to Olympics.
Right now I think you have to include Joe Bosshard in the discussion.
The posts so far are based on results, but other than that, I don't see how it can be determined which coaches are better. The endurance training is no different than for a flat 3000 and watching videos of world class steeplers should give a coach a pretty good idea of proper technique.

Um yea, watch the kenyans steeple and realize form doesn't matter.

Neither Hughes nor Huling PR’d in the steeple under Jerry.

This certainly isn’t true. 8:12 and 8:14 respectively for each I believe!

Matthew Hughes's PR is 8:11 from 2013.
Dan Huling's PR is 8:13 from 2010.
This is very, very easy to look up.
