What's best for society?
A society where the marginalized can thrive and flourish. Any more questions?
Liberals are scum. They believe in forcible land seizure and practice it continually in California.

Actually, the answer to the very general question what’s best for society is whatever maximizes social welfare. This may or may not include a society where the marginalized thrive and flourish because 1) if those that are currently marginalized flourish then those that are currently flourishing could be marginalized (leaving you no better off), and 2) often times the marginalized do not have the effort or will power to thrive and flourish. An easy example is low income communities where students choose to sell drugs and adopt a no snitching mentality (essentially choosing to take matters into their own hands and inevitably ending up in prison for getting revenge) in lieu of going to school. These communities are choosing to be marginalized and left behind by society. That said, some marginalized groups deserve some help. But this would maximize social welfare.
what is pitchfork culture?
google just gives me a hip-hop band

Daily Wire doesn't have the best reputation.
He showed a FOX News video in his classroom as a serious lesson? He's not a good teacher.
Dumb choice.
I member when diversity of opinion was a valued commodity and not persecuted

Who are the "marginalized", and why are they not currently thriving and flourishing?

Because we have not helped them enough. Clearly they cannot do it on their own.
Seems like a good teacher. As far as I can tell he was suspended because he didn't give students an opt out option and someone deemed part of the video sexually explicit or adult content. Even though it was a fox news show... The article makes is sound like some of the teachers/parents have it in for him which may or may not be true.
High school seniors in the last week of school. It is amazing how delusional parents are about the capabilities of kids that age. You are old enough to be drafted in to war, but god forbid you see a fox news show and discuss it.
I'm way left of center and this as presented is ridiculous.
Ready for the very deep irony . . . the teacher was represented at his disciplinary hearing by a . . . wait for it . . . lawyer provided by the teacher's union.

What about the land el presidente wants to seize along the US/Mexico border? That shouldn’t be cool or is it only not cool when it fits your agenda?

+1000 on that being hilarious
Most people don't get that you don't have to lean 1 way or the other to be a Union member. A Union focuses most of its efforts (90%+ I'd say) on contract negotiation and representation. Tricking conservatives that Unions only work for Democrats is one of the greatest tricks the GOP has ever pulled. The GOP wants to defund Unions so that companies can slash wages and benefits. It's not about doing you any favors. A Union fights for all workers that are in it. If you have a Union at your place of employment and care about your bottom line you should make sure you are a full member. Without a Union, employers could slash pay and benefits. Most employers would not give up nearly what they do now if it wasn't for a Union.
And enough of Unions are just political. If 60% of a Union support a candidate, then the Union endorses them. They tend to support Democrats because that's what the majority of members want. If you're in the minority, vote for whoever you want and then continue to reap the gains of a contract as a full dues paying member. And, not to mention, Unions usual use voluntary member contributions to fund political programming so it's usually not coming from your dues dollars. You aren't paying for anything you don't agree with. Workers joining together are a lot stronger than an individual facing an employer that only wants to make cuts.
Unions 101, take my course on them

This chart is laughable.
It is partisan by itself.
It shows CNN and the LA Times to be virtually neutral, with the Times in the top green box.
They are pushing an agenda that shows liberalism as neutral and correct.

It shows both as skewing left.

The media bias chart is the epitome of media bias. 90% of people are simply not capable of understanding what I just said so I'll try to explain.
Who made the media bias chart? Have different media outlets made their own media bias charts? If so, how do we chart the bias of the different media bias charts?
There is no way to determine if a news story is true or not simply based on the news source. The facts of every story can be accepted or rejected based on the evidence presented in the story itself, regardless of the media source. When confronted with any story, if you put even the least amount of effort into separating the facts of the story from the rhetoric of the story teller, you can know what's real or not real, or what's simply unknown. Hint: anonymous sources do not count as evidence.
If a random stranger walked up to you and told you a story and didn't present anything other than their word to support the story, would you believe them? I hope not. And a journalist has even less credibility than a complete stranger because we know journalist go into that profession because the have a political point of view they want to promote. You can still get valid information from a journalist, as long as you separate the facts (supported by real named sources) from the rhetoric. Within the first paragraph of any story you should already be seeing hints about the reporter's biases just based on the wording they use. If you need the "media bias chart" to tell which direction a reporter leans, you are beyond hope. That's why the "media bias chart" is the epitome of media bias. It is a sneaky attempt to make stupid people trust reporters just because.
