Hi all, I’d like to ask a question that I hope will get some serious replies. I really value the running knowledge on this board.
I am a 36 year old male that has dropped my marathon time from 3:40-3:08 over the last 4 years. I’ve done this with solid training plans and slowly increasing from about 1500 to 2250 miles per year. I am an average runner talent wise, but I am very disciplined and committed to being my best.
What is reasonable for me to achieve over the next 3-5 years if I continue to stay healthy and increase my mileage to say 3000 or even 3500 miles annually?
I know I have some limitations with age and talent, but I’m really interested what that ceiling might be. Thanks all.
