Have you ever been outside of NJ? The best beaches? I've read a lot of silly things on this message board, but that is the most ridiculous statement yet!

I swear to christ that guy lives on my block! Funny!
Also kevin Smith Director of Clerks, Mallras, Dogma is a jerse native.
Yeah, I've been to California and Florida and the Carolinas. Jersey has better beaches. Hawaii....okay, maybe I forgot about Hawaii.
Possibly the greatest part about Jersey: Taylor ham (and the best taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches in the US). Damn I love that stuff. Apparently it's restricted to the Jersey market (for better or worse) cause I couldn't find that stuff anywhere in PA. In the midwest? Forget about it. If anyone knows where I can get thist stuff in the midwest, PLEASE TELL ME.
The only thing good about New Jersey is WaWa's and Atlantic City.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned already, but why on earth are you not allowed to pump your own gas in New Jersey? That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. What's more is when high school seniors graduate and go to school in New York and Connecticut, they're completely oblivious as to how to pump their own gas. I was at a gas station in central New York and this girl gets out of her SUV completely ticked off that nobody was coming out to fill her tank. I told her that it was a self-serve station. She looked at me like I was from outer-space. Then she says "So, what do I do?" I just laughed and told her to go inside and ask for help. The attendant came out and showed her how to work the pump. It was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Hmmmmmmm And this coming from someone with such a classy screen name as "Pimp Tight". LOL
Blah Blah Blah. You can slice and dice it all you want. I still think most of New Jersey is a shit hole. Take a ride through Newark, Jersey City and that pretty much sum's up what most people have for image of NJ. Maybe it has a few good area's ,but all in all I still think NJ is a dump.
I also seem to remember a lot of cancer cases coming from New Jersey. Strange who sometime back like 8 players some how had cancer. I ve heard the Meadow Lands were built on toxic waste site. Now that to me is true New Jersey.
Yeah, everyone of these so called famous people are Liberal Socialist too. Tell them to take their stupid views and keep them to themselves. Asswipes.
Meadow lands is a land fill on toxic waste. Everyone knows it is true, but the goverment refuses to admit it. The whole area has chemicals all over the place. Ask me New Jersey sucks.
whatever you do
STAY OUT OF SOUTH JERSEY
we have nothing.

Man, NYC sucks! Just take a stroll through Harlem and that's all you'll ever need to see of the entire state. Man it sucks!
And you people complaining about pumping gas?? We continually have the cheapest gas in the nation. Yeah, getting out of your car and inhaling tons of gas fumes sure beats sitting in your car and paying less.
They don't call it dirty jersey for nothin

Stay the hell away New York/North Jersey.
Viva REPUBLIC OF SOUTH JERSEY
I agree both Northern Jersey and NYC have gone to hell. Both are melting blocks for liberal socialist who want to live off the system. America has gone to Pot. Does anyone even speak english anymore on the train. Ask me both NYC and Northern Jersey Suck. To many Non White people.
CT and NJ have quite a few simlarities based on my experience. Big cities are pretty rough in both states. It's just not common knowledge the way it is in NJ. If you don't believe me spend some time in Waterbury, Bridgeport and Hartford.
NJ is pretty diverse, you have mountains, rivers, forest, suberbia, access to NYC, and the Ocean. Very similar to CT in my mind.
You have quite a few nice area's in both states. CT has West Hartford, NJ has Short Hills. CT has Greenwich, NJ has Deal. CT has Litchfield, NJ has Bedminster. Not perfect comparisons but you get the point.
I think the bad rap for Jersey is from pop culture and turnpike driving.

And to the person who said NJ has mountains:
http://fermi.jhuapl.edu/states/maps1/ny.gifThe "highlands" of NJ are nothing compared to the rest of the NE.
"anything above the Mason-Dixon line is pure trash"
Perhaps true, but if you knew your geography, you'd know that about 20% of NJ is below the Mason-Dixon line. So, while we may be trash, we're not fettered with stupidity like you are.
