Listen to what she says at this pre meet press conference. She seems to indicate one should not expect much at this time. She probably decided to just do the 2 mile.
Good that she has matured enough to come to terms with not comparing to the past. And wants to enjoy running and focusing on getting better than she is today. That’s a hard thing for girls - for her especially, because of all the message board /internet comments and judging she gets
She will get a good education but I don’t expect to hear much about her after this year.
When is the 2 mile?
Is Katelyn not racing? I thought it was supposed to be a matchup although with Claudia barely training wouldn’t be much point
Is this the 2 mile result?
Did she do a press conference then DNS two races?

I'm not sure what you're talking about in regard to Lane. Thousands of distance runners have comeback from injuries and I doubt if any of them expected to run PRs in their first race back. Why would she be any different?
Tuohy is not there. Will be running in a 3K vs pros in NYC next weekend.
She dropped out of the mile either 400 or 600 meters in on Friday.
Mary Cain?
Claudia Lane can be seen dramatically falling off the track at about 1:59 of the race, just entering the first curve after the 600m mark. Those with subscriptions can watch it here:

She was supposed to double back in Sunday's 2 mile, but the announcer said that minor injuries caused her to scratch. Maybe IT band issues. It is discussed prior to the start of the race, around the 1:00 mark, here:

Can you imagine Tuohy being out for 10 months with an injury? I hate to say this about the kid, she seems super sweet, but she just doesn’t have the toughness and tenacity anymore to really compete at a high level. Wish her luck in future endeavors.
The chick is done as a relevant runner. End of story
It's odd someone would think toughness has anything to do with being physically unable to run. She sat out for ten months with an injury and still found her way back to a starting line. That's real "toughness and tenacity". Get your heads out of your asses.
I hope she isn't Sarah Baxter 2.0
She crashed out after a few laps, she was losing ground fast band didn't look like she should be in the race...maybe fatigue caused her to hit the rail or the fact it was her first indoor meet but it wasn't going to be a good ending anyway and no way was she ready to go 16 laps on Saturday....hopefully she keeps working on getting back to some better form... I thought it was odd she came all the way across the country for this meet,...her future is bright, she is attending dartmouth
Bad decisions all around by her and her family. Going across the country to the arctic north will not go well and for what? According to the study, her parents’ $300k so called investment would have been better used as a college graduation gift and had her go to a decent school on the warm west coast at half the cost.

Probably didn't pay much to go across the country. NSAF probably funded her trip for a big name and got burnt.
Meanwhile, Bullis school making a mockery of records by trotting out a team of mercenaries. I, for one, disregard these performances beyond the athletic feat that they are. Does anyone have any insight into the economics of that place? Are all the stars on full scholarship? What about the 2nd tier?
I guess getting all these upper classmen transfers is a good economic plan...they're only on the books briefly and they're already known talents.

I agree with this.
She's an awesome person and will be a success, whatever she chooses to do.
