He will have two NFL titles to go along all the other accolades he has accumulated over the years. He has played with inferior talent at New Orleans but has excelled all the way. Drew has walked the walk!

Even if he is, he's only keeping the seat warm for Sam Darnold
no
no. He has a lot of good stats, but 1 SB appearance and too many bad team records? A lot of stats come from having to try to play catch up. Also the dome factor. I'm am not saying he is bad, but just not the best - which was the question.
Nope.

Kind of the same thing as Walter Payton or Barry Sanders being considered the best backs of all time? Their teams were trash and everyone knew who was getting the ball, but those guys still put up great numbers.
I’ll go with Brady just because of the volume of success with various changes in team roster over the years.
Alan
a little different than the 2 rbs I think as they often had to make runs without any decent blocking, and yes the D knew they were coming. The rules have been changed to open up the passing offenses and Brees has put up some big numbers. But I still stand with "no".
He's not even the greatest of his generation! Both Brady and Manning are better. I like Brees much more than the other two and would rather root for him but clearly not better than them.
FYI- I'm a Cowboys fan so I don't have a dog in the fight.
If Brees wins and has 3 fewer Super Bowl rings, 3 fewer MVPs, 4 fewer Super Bowl MVPS, 20 fewer playoff wins, 60 fewer regular season wins, and only 4k yards, 3 TDs and 62 INTs more than Brady, will he best the best NFL QB ever? yeah, definitely.
Terry Bradshaw won on a team that won 4 SB in 6 years! Why is he never in the conversation?
You know, back when you were allowed to actually hit the WR's and QB'S ?
The Steelers won Super Bowls in the 70s with running, defense, and steroids. Bradshaw was awful and could never run a modern passing offense. There are 20 guy in the league right now who are better than him.
Saints Fan here. He is one of the greatest of all time, the most accurate QB ever for sure, but not "the" greatest. Which concept incidentally doesnt make any sense... greatest in what respect?
PS: Saints general talent has been anything but inferior over the last ten years.... like any team there are studs and duds
Brees piled up a lot of his yardage in the fourth quarter of games the Saints were losing badly.
He may be the best human being among the top QBs but Manning, Brady, Montana, Staubach and Steve Young were all better on the field.

Bradshaw had the advantage of playing with numerous future Hall-of-Famers like Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, Joe Greene to name just a few.
You mentioned three Bradhsaw HOF teammates from the defense, but his WERs Swann and Stalworth and runnin g back Franco Harris were also Hall of Famers...as was his center, Mike Webster.
You guys are forgetting the absolute greatest of all time .... Drum Roll please ...
Broadway Joe Namath!!!
Like duh!

And don't forget Mel Blount and L.C. Greenwood were also HOFers.
Brady, Peyton Manning, Elway, and Bradshaw are all far ahead of Brees for GOAT.

How can you say Manning is way ahead ? He only won one Super Bowl and the Colts won with his subpar performance.
