I just did a 6x800 workout yesterday w/ 90 sec rest @ 5-10k pace with some hard 200s afterwards and finished feeling the knackered, yet today I was doing a long easy run (70 min) and had troubles keeping myself at my regular easy pace and ended up running about 30 sec/mi faster than usual for an easy day..
Anyone have similar experiences?
Also, my HR was only 155 avg whereas for the workout I was hitting around 170-190, so I wasnt going hard, but not exactly as easy as I should've, but still.

I think you may be experiencing something which underpins the idea behind crash training (the idea that you should cram together a block of hard training in several days, then take several easy days and repeat). The traditional theory is you need to recover after a hard session or day, so you go easy. But an alternative viewpoint is after a hard session your body is even better able to benefit from another hard session.
Apparently crash training can work very well, but there is a high risk of injury.
Another possibility is you are just feeling the benefits of accumulated training.
You had a high (adrenaline and endorphines) from day before.
Very normal I think. Your body is in the grip of the parasympathetic nervous system from the previous days training. That will wear off a day or so.
