Compliments are a more significant factor in terms of their % effect on performance.
I also recommend fishing. But not for sea monsters, just for a quality spouse,
No. Just like anything, there's certainly declining returns on PED use; eventually there's a limit where they'd stop being effective and likely kill you. My guess is you'd have to be a 4:30 miler clean to be able to dope yourself to sub-4:00 without ODing on something.

So a clean 4:00 guy could dope himself to 3:30?

no I'd guess 4:30 natural talent is still too slow.
think adding endurance not manufacturing speed---
Drugs might get a 1:50 clean half mile to sub4:00

Wow. You really know nothing about relative performances.

REVISE THAT TO 1:47.
adding endurance to a 880 guy-example
I believe Sowinski is clean & usually opens with a mile. After overdistance base training we see a pr 4:01.5
At the mile distance I can not see any stack of drugs resulting in more than a couple of seconds of speed endurance

4:30 to 4:00 is almost as ridiculous. Doping is not going to improve 400 speed by 6-7 seconds. I doubt if doping could result in more than a 5 second improvement the for the mile.

Ramzi clean limit was about 3:40 for 1500m or about 3:57 mile. Got on some rocket fuel and ran a 3:29 1500m or about a 3:46 mile. That is about a 10 second improvement.

I'm sure there have been some clean 3:50 milers. Does that mean they could have run 3:40 had they cheated?

I don't see why not. The world record is 3:43. 3:40 is just a matter of having good pace setters.
10 seconds of improvement from clean to doped.

Thank you for confirming your lack of knowledge.
Drugs work, but it is a relative thing. For an already trained athlete it is likely that drugs can boost performance up to 5%, but more likely in the 2-3% neighborhood. Lots of studies show this.
Therefore, about the max clean time that will yield a dirty sub 4:00 is about 4:07 assuming a 3% boost from drugs. If someone responded really well to the juice and got 5%, max is about 4:12.
Good luck with your Stanzanol and EPO injections.

Why the insult? Do you think PEDs can improve 400 speed by an amount significant enough to improve a 4:30 miler
to 4:00? How many seconds do you believe a miler can improve his time with PEDs?
Yes but he witnesses need to take the drugs not you.
I’ve always thought it would e fun to do EPo to be able to run at unimaginable speeds for me, and find out what it feels like to like run multiple miles in the mid 530s. I’ll never do it though

Not as ridiculous as 4:16 to 3:47, but Steve Scott managed it.
