I ran fist marathon in 5:15 in 2007- cramped last 6 in 85 degree heat walked the last 6
2nd marathon - 4:05 - 2016
3rd marathon - 3:52 - 2018
4th marathon - 4:15 on no training just one 13 miler wanted to run in hometown - 2018
- Used internet runners world plan marathon #1. Used beginner plan Hal Higdon marathon2, and adjusted plan to include 3 20 milers for marathon3. No training marathon 4 just base of 15 miles per week.
- I know somewhere I've ran a 5 k in under 20 min in 2007 or so, and have run a 10 k in 41:35 in 2014.
I'm 37 now and did no serious training for the 5k except recreational 3 and 4 mile runs and some 200 meter hill repeats on a few occasions.
I did 400 m x 4 one time prior to the 10 k in 2014 but was in the midst of training for my first half marathon in 2014 when I ran my 10 k pr listed. Ran the half in 1:42
Long term years out goal would be Boston qualifier, wondering if anyone thinks that's possible.
