Yeah, there's so much more money in science than there is in oil.
You do know how science works? One of the main ways is through grants from the government. The more hysteria they can drive up, the more money they can get from the government. But yeah, not like scientist have ever been caught fixing data/over exaggerating the numbers. And not like science in general is broken in this way as far as fixing data/numbers. Please continue to have blind faith in scientist. Remember to be a obedient slave, and never question scientist, even though questioning and being skeptical is one of the cornerstones of science.
For many people, climate change is more of a political topic than anything else. And unfortunately, people continue to allow their political identity to influence their rational thought more than science. We try and trust science to help our training plans, so why not the Earth too?
Humans are also not afraid of phenomena which occur so slowly they cannot sense it. Humans will react rather quickly when they see a man with a gun walking towards them though.
I do not see how it is not obvious to climate change deniers when we see more and more record-breaking storm systems pounding the East Coast, extreme drought in California, and other unusual weather patterns around the world (because this is a GLOBAL problem, not only and American problem). Yes, sometimes we see record breaking lows, but this does not refute the global trend towards warming. Especially since most of the temperature rise is in the ocean, and only a few degrees.

And since this is a running website, you should also consider driving your car less, and running to wherever you need to go instead. Or cycle. Or hell, even swim.
But continuing to doubt peer-reviewed science over the politically-sponsored news stations is leading us further and further down the rabbit hole.
Once the politicians see their constituents asking for change, they will quickly change their positions on the subject, and miraculously, so will the conservative news stations.
