Have Kipketer win gold in 2004
2011 World championships. I would have Uceny not trip in the W 1500M final.
I would have liked to see how she would have finished. It would have changed her whole career
Call me selfish but I'd change my Sectional 800m race so that I would have won instead of getting 6th. Didn't even run fast enough to make it to state Q's (◔_◔)

Agreed with this approach. I wish I would have run 2:00.58 at my last marathon because I want to be the best in the world not below average like the rest of you.

Same as title, I personally would love to have the Munich 5000m altered to where Pre attains at the very least a Bronze medal, just because of how heartbreaking it is to see rewinds of him being hawked in those fateful games.
Never understood the obsession with Pre. In the end he was just an alcoholic who hit a rock in Eugene, Or.

And run the race without any of the dopers. Alptekin and Bulut (1 & 2) were DQed for doping. Tomashova and Aragawi would later get caught doping, but kept their medals. Rowbury should have medaled and Uceny would have been there at the tape if she didn't get tripped.
Likewise, Mary Decker stays on her feet v. Zola Budd in the 1984 final.

Actually I would go for Gore winning over Bush in 2000. Think about it: no Iraq war, less foreign meddling, maybe 07-08 financial crisis prevented, and who knows maybe the economic prosperity of the Clinton years could have been sustained.
Moscow 1980. 1500. Filbert Bayi take the 1500m out from the gun and not run the steeple.
I would have been given an entry to the 2002 London Marathon, and of course ran 1:59:59.
That race from a few years ago where Ben True and Evan jagger ran like a 13:01 or something. I would put in better pacers so that both of them went sub 13 for 5000m.
I would go back in time and fix Nick Symmonds start for his 100m time trial so that he runs 12.30 instead of 12.36.
Easy one for me, Shorter over Cierpinski in Montreal. A good guy blatantly cheated out of gold by the Eastern bloc doping machine.

This. My first thought was about how I could have done better in one race. I came to the thread expecting to read a bunch of personal tales of woe.
In my case, in the 2008 USATF Indoor Masters Championships, I arrived with a severe sinus infection, but I was running second with 200m to go in the 800m final. I ran down the leader and passed him with 40m to go. We were running side by side with me a little ahead when I caught a spike and stumbled with about 20m to go. I missed my first National Championship by a half second.
It’s called white people, ya damn Neanderthals
White peepo love cross fit
Bekele's 2:03:03 in Berlin.
7 seconds from holding the three big distance WRs at once.
I would have Wanjiru not win the Olympics in the hopes that he was responsibly hungry for another shot a few years later and his home life somehow managed to not get as crazy as it did because he was not as high profile.
My 150 meter race versus Donovan Bailey. I would have gone all out instead of taking it easy because I wanted to be nice to Canadians.--MJ

No 9/11 either.
