She is running a 600 and 1000 this weekend. Good test of her speed early in the season. Agree no real point in running distance races against no competition.

You will all be relieved to know that we have a plan in action in case those pesky testers show up. Only the dumb and careless are caught.

missed it, what was her time?
2:48.8 - went out too fast roughly 62/136/211 for 400/600/800, 600 in a couple of hours
officially 64.4/138/212.6 - I must have missed the gun on the streaming

12th best performer all time H.S.Girls
Her best is 2:47.8, which she ran indoor as a freshman.
Her best 600m is 1:35.2 which she also ran when she was a freshman.
When you run such good times as a freshman, it's difficult to improve much (or at all).
Katelyn decided not to run the 600m

She's run this pace from a mile before. Lowers my expectation for the 3000 even if she did go out too fast. I'm thinking around 9:20. That late season HC injury could still be effecting her. It will be interesting to see how she does in a race where she has competition and doesn't blow everyone away from the gun.
This looked similar to her effort in the 800 in the sprint medley last winter when during the 3 day meet she ran 4:39, 2:09+, 9:58 I think (the latter being a full 2 mile). My guess for the pro meet is right around 9:00.
Based on how she looked running the 4:39 today in Millrose trials I would say 8:55 to 9:00 is in play.
