Hi guys (and girls),
I'm looking to get back into the swing of things after about a 6 month lay-off due to a nagging foot injury. I am currently running at an easy/conversational pace for 30 minutes, 3 times per week.
I am looking to (slowly) build my mileage back up to around the 30 miles per week mark. I am going to do ONLY easy runs until I get up to this point - I am in no hurry to be in shape, and would rather avoid injury.
When I get to 30 miles per week is where my question lies... I am going to run a 5k (Park Run) to get a baseline for my training paces. Would I be better keeping at the 30 miles without workouts until my times plateau, or just start adding workouts at this point?
Workouts would be Tinman tempos and 1k CV repeats.
Advice would be greatly appreciated
