Agreed. “Everyone who follows the sport.” Shut up you idiot.
I follow the sports, but don’t know where every D level broke “pro” is going.

Wow. Your choice is to call a struggling athlete names rather than admit that you don’t follow the sport. Good on you.
I knew about The Beasts and NAZ. I’m more curious about what’s next for these athletes.
Also it is humorous that you aren’t interested but yet you took the time to post.
All this shows how little money there is in distance running. I think that's a great thing.
You must be new here. This is typical letsrun behavior, and you shouldn't take it personally. There are some angry and frustrated-with-life type people here that are able to expunge their angst from behind a keyboard. Acting in "real life" as they do here would not be tolerated. Just take it with a grain of salt.
The njnytc roster continues to grow with several new adds, including Robert Ford, Emily Richards, Meg Manley, Isaac Updike...

Nike “sponsors” groups with equipment only deals that are actually long term binding somehow. Agents throw these sponsorships onto some of their athletes so they can get others better deals.

What groups?
Centro to BTC, but everyone knew that already.

Asics out of sponsorship.
NYNJ sponsorship cut in half (many will remain on just gear)
Re: Asics
I spoke with a source close to Asics today and they denied that they're getting out of sponsoring athletes and that, as of today, they will have at least eight athletes under contract for 2019 -- Diego Estrada, Candace Hill, Deena Kastor, Jarrion Lawson, and a few other signings to be announced in the near future. Granted they don't sponsor as many athletes as some of the other brands, but the fact that they're going to be announcing new sponsorships shows that they're not going to be getting out of the sponsorship game.
Deena Kastor??? Really???
She has been retired for a decade.
What is the source for Katie Mackey getting a new coach?

Danny Mackey
Did he announce it?
Of course not.
Pat Casey has a great 2018, he will not get dropped.
Katie is a 31 year old MD runner. She has about 3yers before her career is over.
2020 is her swan song.

Other than maybe Shalane, she's still one of the most popular female American distance runners and being retired allows her to do more to promote the brand.
