So I'm just scrolling through social media this morning and come across this post from Runner's World on Instagram:

I didn't think anything of it. Cute little endorsement of NordicTrack. But the comments are lighting up with negative feedback, condemning Jeff Dengate and his horrible taste -- "I think we all feel a little attacked by this post."
Look, I get it. I'm not insensitive to the issue of eating disorders in the sport. I personally know people that have fallen victim to it and it really sucks.
But it's a cookie. A Christmas cookie. Is it really that triggering? I don't think this promotes an unhealthy relationship with food -- both one cookie and 30 minutes of running are healthy! It's like once someone mentions they should eat healthier, they go nuts -- and I know this might be a different scenario, but still.
Maybe I'm missing the mark. Anyone see another point of view? Anyone think this is dumb?
Discus.
